Dear Margaret and Family,

Sorry, it has taken a while for me to write.

I got to know Syd at Ridley for the last 20 years he was involved with Cadets. He was an incredible man and I simply loved him. He and I worked together for so long battling hard to keep Cadets alive and well at Ridley. He was simply the heart and soul of the operation. I had spoken to him a few weeks before he died and he did not say anything about not feeling well as he was more concerned about me as I had just lost my wife Bobbie to Cancer. Please keep me informed as to when a celebration of life is to happen as he meant a great deal. This year alone I have now lost 5 people who are very near and dear to me, he and my wife being at the top of the list.
