Obituary of Roy Bacon

BACON, GLEN ROY:  After a great life, Papa passed away at Roberta Place, Barrie on Thursday, May 3, 2018 surrounded by his family, three weeks from his 100th birthday.  Roy was a very caring husband to his beloved Josie (nee Van Genechten) for 73 years, and to others who crossed his path in life.  Loving father of Rita Saunders (Philip).  Cherished Papa to Mark Saunders (Olivia), and Alison Saunders (Jeremy Plante), and great grandpa to Grace, Braden and Faith.  Dear brother of Joyce.  He will be dearly missed by his nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by sisters Yvonne and Doreen, and brother Ernie.  A memorial gathering will be held at the Grimsby Legion, 233 Elizabeth Street, Grimsby, on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. The doors will be open at 10 a.m. if you would like to come early.  If desired, memorial donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Grimsby Br. 127 would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the Legion or the funeral home.
