I am going to miss Fred. He was a kind and gentle man who never had a bad word to say about anyone. He was always a pleasure to be around and never pushy.
I remember when Shirrene, Ingrid and I went to Lily Dale for a weekend. When we returned, I learned that Fred had washed my old Volvo, and it was spotless; I was so surprised. Fred was so considerate and always thinking of others – it’s just how he was.
I understand how much his family will miss him. I can see how blessed you all are to have each other in your lives. You will reflect on many beautiful memories and remember your love for each other. I know he had great pride in his family: Shirrene, their boys, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His family was the most important thing to him.
Fred, you will be greatly missed, as you were loved by many.
Big hugs, xo and lots of love to you all. xo

I am Uncle Fred's niece (daughter of Harold), Auntie Sherry's brother. I could write a book about the fabulous memories that come to mind. One is when I was a very little girl. Uncle Fred decided to put me on his feet to teach me to dance. It was a family gathering. After Uncle Fred got tired (or sore feet), Uncle Len took over. I felt like a princess!! Uncle Fred loved children & had the patience to teach them. He had a heart of gold,"A true treasure"! He was one of the most gentle, patient, compassionate, loving men I have ever known. I feel very blessed to have had the privilege to have him in my life. Uncle Fred, your light will shine forever in my heart! Love you
