My sincere condolence to Fred’s family. He’ll surely be missed.
Dear Aunt Dini, cousins and spouses, and all of the rest of the Deboer family,
As Fred’s memorial service has just ended, we feel the weight of your grief and sorrow, and wish we could be with you in person. His passing has left an empty space in your family that can never be filled. Over the years we had gotten used to seeing Fred often at Mom and Dad’s place – it was not unusual for us to be there for a visit, and hear the rumble of Fred’s truck coming down the driveway. It was easy to see that Dad really treasured Fred’s friendship.
How fitting it was that Fred’s earthly journey came to an end on his own father’s birthday – a reminder to us all that Fred’s life, illness and passing were not random, but were perfectly woven threads of our Lord’s divine plan. We pray that you find comfort in the knowledge that Fred is now reunited with his earthly father, in the presence of the risen Saviour, and that one day you all will be reunited in glory.
Come Lord Jesus!
With love, Fred & Wendy Vandervelde and family

May our Heavenly Father wrap His arms around you in these difficult days.
Wishing all the family comfort and strength as they mourn the loss of Fred. Our loss is his gain as he is with his Lord and Saviour. We are grateful that we could show our love and say our good-byes during his illness. We will miss Fred greatly as he was a large part of our lives too.
