Obituary of Ruby Claire Silverthorne

SILVERTHORNE, Ruby Claire: 

It is with great sadness that we wish to announce the passing of our beloved mother, Ruby after a brief illness, on October 1st, 2018, at the age of 91 years.  Cherished mother to Judy (Gil), Don (Eileen), Pat (late Karl), and Jo-Anne (Dennis). Grandma Ruby will also be fondly remembered by her nine grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren.  Survived by her loving and caring sisters Pauline and Jean.  Predeceased by Floyd, her loving husband of 56 years, her parents, Art and Sylvia Beamer, and sisters, Beulah, Margaret, and Glenna.  The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the special care our Mother received from West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, all the incredible Niagara ParaMed Home Health Care Services workers, and the Palliative team associated with the Local Health Integration Network.  Our sincere appreciation to all the wonderful people at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice.  You are extraordinary people and we truly appreciate you.  Her family will receive friends at the Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Thursday, October 4 from 6-9 p.m.  Private funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice, Hamilton, or the Kidney Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
