Obituary of Loretta Jean Swick
SWICK, Loretta Jean (nee Kondrat): Loretta passed away suddenly at Hamilton General Hospital on Thursday evening, September 6, 2018 in her 73rd year. She was a loving mother and close friend of Charlene Swick (Rob), grandmother to Kelsey Henderson (Anthony) and Kevin Koudys, and a loving great-grandmother to Aubrey, Jocelyn and Nicholas Henderson. Loretta is survived by her sisters Irene Clappison (Paul), Joanne Judd (Bill), step-siblings Tom Jachymek (Lynn) and Pat Henklemann. She will also be missed by John Swick. Predeceased by her parents Paul and Vicki Kondrat, brother Stan Kondrat and sister Deanna Ross. She will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews in Canada and in Poland. Loretta had a deep passion for all animals. Besides having many of her own, she took care of strays and feral cats, found them homes, and fed wild animals too. Loretta was a big sports fan, especially of the Toronto Maple Leafs. She always shared her cooking and baking with family and friends, and spent her life being there for people when they needed her. She loved to dance. Visitation to be held at Merritt Funeral Home (287 Station St. Smithville) Sunday, September 9, 2018 from 2-5 p.m. A funeral service will take place on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m at Smithville United Church (116 West St., Smithville).
