Obituary of Aleksander Sekula

SEKULA, ALEKSANDER:  Peacefully at St. Peter's Hospital in Hamilton on Sunday, June 10, 2018, Aleksander Sekula passed away at the age of 91.  Beloved husband for 58 years of Valerie Sekula (nee Grzymek).  Loving father of Diane Sekula (John Parker), and Christopher Sekula.  Cherished grandfather (dzia dzia) of Alexandra.  Aleksander will be greatly missed by his extended family in Canada and Florida, and remembered by his nieces and nephews in Poland.  Special thanks to Dr. Cano, Dr. Lam, and the caring staff at St. Peter's Hospital.  Visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Wednesday, June 13 from 7-9 p.m. with Prayers at 8 p.m.  The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 166 West Street (Regional Rd 20), Smithville on Thursday, June 14 at 10:30 a.m. with interment at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Cemetery, Stoney Creek.  Memorial donations to the Lung Association or Canadian Wildlife Federation would be appreciated by the family and if desired can be made through the funeral home.
