Obituary of Louie Madzo

MADZO, LOUIE:  At home on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, Louie Madzo passed away at the age of 89.  He was the beloved husband of the late Martha (Bobok) Madzo (2012) and a loving father to his son Louie (Loretta).  Dear brother of Mary Zahorchuk and Anne Tinegate.  Predeceased by infant son Paul and sister Wilma Paprzycki.  Born in Czechoslovakia, Louie came to Canada in 1938 and settled in the Smithville area, working at TRW in St. Catharines for 28 years until his retirement in 1994.  He loved the outdoors, and especially enjoyed his daily walk with his furry dog Bloop.  Visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Sunday, February 25 from 2-5 p.m. with Prayers at 3 p.m.  The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 166 West Street (Regional Rd 20), Smithville on Monday, February 26 at 11 a.m. with interment at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church Cemetery.  If desired, memorial donations to Knights of Columbus Council 16421 would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
