NELSON, LORNE K: Peacefully with family at his side on Monday, March 6, 2017 at Hamilton General Hospital, Lorne Kenneth Nelson passed away at the age of 83. Beloved husband for 61 years of Barbara Jean Pettigrew. Loving father of Michael (Jennifer), Wendy (James), Craig (Allison), Marcia (Steve), and David (Linda). Cherished grandfather of Brad (Clare), Tyler, Daniel, Katie (Mike), Clint (Amanda), Kelly (Joanna), Heidi (Sean), Rob (Jackie), Anna, Ian, Ashley (Kevin), Jesse and Bralyn, and great grandfather of Brynlee, Liam, Daphnee, Oliver and Danika. Dear brother of Donna Walker (Jim). The family invites you to gather with them at Smithville United Church, 116 West Street (Regional Rd 20), Smithville on Friday, March 10 beginning at 9 a.m. for visitation and where the funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. A reception in the church hall will follow. If desired, memorial donations to West Lincoln Memorial Auxiliary would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
