Obituary of Muriel Geraldine Lane

LANE, MURIEL: At McNally House Hospice on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, Muriel Geraldine Lane (nee Patterson) of Smithville passed away in her 98th year. She was the beloved wife of Vincent Adam Lane (d.1986), much loved mother of Ron Lane and the late Gary Lane (2013), and a dear mother-in-law of Marilyn and Wanda. Cherished by her grandchildren Jeff, Angela, Shannon and Ryan, and great grandchildren Greg, Michael, and Gerrett. Also survived by her sister-in-law Eleanor Lane. Visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Tuesday, June 21 from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Smithville United Church, 116 West Street (Regional Rd 20), Smithville on Wednesday, June 22 at 11 a.m. with inurnment at the Church's adjoining cemetery. Special thanks to Dr. Martha Davidson and the staff of Smithville Family Health Centre, CCAC and St. Elizabeth nurses, and volunteers and staff of McNally House Hospice for their compassionate care of mom.
