My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this most difficult time. Even though I did not know him personally I was very touched by Karla's memories of him, while we were together over the past few weeks. This loss will be felt by many people, but we never forget as we carry him with us in our hearts and thoughts throughout the rest of our lives. These are our precious memories that carry us throughout our lives,

Cathy. So sorry about the loss of your husband. Ian Johnston
Joe always had a smile on his face and a story to tell me. The smile and the story was one of two subjects. The first option was how farming clay in Niagara was going. The second option was to tell me about how proud he was of a family member. You gave the world your best Joe, and your best is still here in the family members you have infused with your spirit. Rest on high.
Our condolences go to Karla, and her family, on the sad loss of her brother Joe. We are thinking of you and know your strengths will carry you forward in this sad time. Our prayers are with you.

Dear Cathy and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I will miss the way he patted me on the head, teased me for being a government "worker" and smirked at me sideways. (You know the look. The one where you're not sure if he agrees with you or thinks you are full of it). Condolences to you all.

Joe was a great man and I'm remembering all the time I spent with your family as a child and remembering how much he use to make me laugh and also the time we went to the Niagara Falls New Years show and how Joe ended up spending most of the concert in the van with me because I was so cold. Joe was a vibrant and lively man who seemed to take life's curves in stride, and sometimes even made light of situations. He loved his family and took pride in their accomplishments. He was easy to make friends and loved life. Joe was a dynamic man and said things as they were without concern of what others might think - that is a special gift. He will be sorely missed by family and friends alike, God bless you Joe, we will miss you and keep you in our hearts with love., Emmy

Our sincerest condolences to Cathy and all Joe's family. He was a great person, always quick to help with a ready smile, and always glad to see you --- a great friend.
One of our first memories of Joe when we moved here, was his driving the tractor with Emily at his side, and she was just a tot - but both were enjoying the ride tremendously.
We are thankful we had the opportunity to be a small part of his life. We will miss him.
