Obituary of Lorne Roy Chrysler

If light is in your heart, you will find your way home. Lorne Roy Chrysler, son, brother, friend, lover, father, grandfather, carpenter, farmer, and truck driver, surrounded by people who loved him, returned home. Previously married to Ora Chrysler and June Coles, he was the father of Barbara, Lorne, and Randy Chrysler, father-in-law to Candi Landry, grandfather to Ryan and Josh Chrysler Stevenson, and Millie Landry, brother of Robert Cowell (predeceased), Kathy Hellam, Jim and Gary Chrysler. Lorne will be remembered as a man of strong faith, who worked hard, persevered through hardship, tried to do his best, and gave what he had to give. Visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Wednesday, January 27 from 7-9 p.m. His Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, January 28 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Fonthill. If desired, memorial donations to Oneida Long Term Care Home would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home. A time of fellowship and refreshments will be held at the Legion in Fonthill immediately following the burial. Goodbyes are only for those who love with their eyes. For those who love with heart and soul there is no such thing as separation.
