Obituary of Kenneth Daniels

Ken Daniels passed away peacefully on Monday, December 21, 2015 at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Sylvia (nee Reichheld) for 57 years. Loved father of Beverley A. Daniels, Kenneth A. Daniels (Kerri) and Bradley T. Daniels (Jackie). Proud grandfather of Jennifer Komar (Brian), Brandon Daniels (Melanie), Jordan, Riley, Ruby and Esmay Daniels, and great grandfather of Olivia and Violet Daniels. Ken is survived by his sister Rosie McLeod and predeceased by six brothers and five sisters. Ken was a 22 year retiree of Stelco Steel with 40 years of service in the blacksmith shop. He loved a good horse race, playing cards and bus tour travelling with Sylvia. Many thanks to the excellent doctors, nurses and staff on C Ward at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital. Their compassionate care was much appreciated. Visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Wednesday, December 23 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Smithville United Church, 116 West Street (Regional Rd 20), Smithville on Thursday, December 24 at 11 a.m. If desired, memorial donations to West Lincoln Memorial Auxiliary or Smithville United Church would be appreciated and can be made through the funeral home.
