DERENIOWSKI, JOHN HENRY SR. (March 14, 1948 – September 24, 2015): Peacefully in his 68th year at McNally House, surrounded by family. He leaves behind his loving wife of 46 years Jennifer, son John (Dana) and grandsons Jacob and Jesse. He is survived by his sisters Marilyn Robins and Carol Walters (Brad) and sister-in-law Meg Coyle. He was predeceased by both his parents, Henry and Jessie, and his sister Linda Bird. He is also survived by many aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. A very special thank you to Mike and Jan Salata and Tony and Linda Mous for all of their love and support over the past two years. Many thanks to Dr. Donald Smith, the staff of Juravinski Cancer Centre and especially the doctors, nurses and staff of McNally House whose tireless efforts and kindness will never be forgotten. A Celebration will be held at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville with a gathering on Wednesday, September 30 from 1-3 p.m. followed by a reception at Smithville United Church, 116 West Street (Regional Rd 20), Smithville. In lieu of flowers, donations to McNally House Hospice would be greatly appreciated and can be made through the funeral home.
