Obituary of Robert Charles McIntyre

MCINTYRE, ROBERT: Peacefully with family at his side at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital on Monday, January 19, 2015, Robert Charles McIntyre of Grimsby passed away in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Geraldine (nee Fitzpatrick) for 55 years. Loving father of Kathy (Ray Jones), Kim Handy (Mike Purdy), Kelly (Vince Scime), and Rob (Amanda). Cherished grandfather of Gordon, George, Krystal, Richard, Raelyn and Brooke, and great grandfather of Jade, Ebony, Ryan and Faith. Dear brother-in-law of Bob Fitzpatrick (Alice), Tom Fitzpatrick (Marilyn) and Lynne McIntyre. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Mack and Louise McIntyre, brother Allan McIntyre and parents-in-law Andy and Evelyn Fitzpatrick. Robert was a member of the United Steelworkers Local 1005, a member of the Beach Road Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M. No. 639 G.R.C., and a member of the Scottish Rite. Special thanks to Dr. Mat Noble Wohlgemut, Dr. Jon Ginsburg, and the nurses and staff at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Beamsville Legion, 5545 King Street (Regional Rd 81), Beamsville on Sunday, January 25 from 2-4 pm. If desired, memorial donations to the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
