DUNSMORE, LORRAINE: Peacefully at her home in Smithville and surrounded by her family, on Sunday, May 13, 2007, Lorraine Frances Dunsmore (nee Blashko) in her 55th year. Beloved wife of Edward (Ted Jr.). Loving mother of Emily (Kris), Linda, Elaine and Sydney. Loving daughter of Helen and the late Casimir Blashko, and daughter-in-law of Edward (Ted Sr.) and the late Elizabeth (Betty) Dunsmore. Dear sister of Nancy and Steve Ellison, and Linda and Dave Tait; sister-in-law of Donna and Grant Housley; and dear aunt of Rob, Tom, Graham, Alex, Diane, Natasha and Kevin. Through her career, she touched the heads of many but she will be missed by a far greater number of hearts. Friends may call at the Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 17 at 11 am at St. Martin of Tours Roman Catholic Church, 166 West Street, Smithville. Cremation will follow. Thank you to the Saint Elizabeth Healthcare, Pete DeHaan and all the cancer drivers, Mel and Mary Anne Elzinga, Niagara Regional Ambulance Service, West Lincoln Fire Department and the Niagara Regional Police Services. If desired, memorial contributions to Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) or West Niagara Palliative Care would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
