DANCER, HATTIE: Peacefully at Albright Centre on Saturday, September 22, 2007, Hattie Irene Dancer (nee Atkinson), previously of Smithville, in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Charles W. Dancer. Loving mother of Beverley Smith, Betty Lou Field and her husband Bill, and Dave Dancer, and mother-in-law of Stella (Pat) Dancer. Predeceased by her son Robert Dancer, son-in-law Bob Smith, granddaughter Sheila Davidson. Cherished by 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchilren. Also predeceased by her siblings Norman Atkinson (Ella), Stella Willick (Gordon), Pearl Olaski (Nick), and Beatrice Parker (Bernard). Friends may call at the Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 25 at 11 am at the funeral home. Interment St. Luke's Anglican Church Cemetery, Smithville. If desired, memorial contributions to St. Luke's Anglican Church or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
