CROOKS, COLLEEN: After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Colleen Diane Crooks of Grimsby in her 44th year passed away at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Grimsby on Friday, December 28, 2007. Colleen was the beloved daughter of Earl and Elaine Crooks. Loving sister of Debbie and John Hensen, Denise and Adrian Junker, Glenn and Kim Crooks, and Wayne and Julie Crooks. Dearly loved aunt to Stephanie and Jason Gilders, Jason and Brett Hensen, Nadine and Shaena Corbett, Sarah, Ryan and Kevin Crooks, and Robbie, Daniel and Matthew Crooks, and great-aunt to Madison. Friends may call at the Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Monday, December 31 and Tuesday, January 1, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on both days. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at 11 am at the Smithville United Church, 116 West Street (Regional Road 20) in Smithville. Interment Grimsby Mountain Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to Smithville United Church would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
