LeBlanc, Garnet William (Retired OPP) March 4 1929 - Feb 20, 2007. It is with heavy hearts we announce his sudden passing, at the age of 77, at his home on February 20th 2007. Loving husband, true friend and companion of Bee (Bernice) for 53 years. He will be sadly missed by his children: Wayne (Robin) Higson, Darcene (Jim) Saxe, Tighe (Lorrie) LeBlanc, Craig (Betty) LeBlanc and Lori (Ivan) Whitehead. Always cherished by his Grandchildren: Tammy (Mike) Vuic, Theresa (Alex) Caro, Shannon, Sean, Meagan, Ryan, Tyson, Aaron, Bryce, Samantha and Reid and fondly remembered by his Great Grand Children: Andrew, Caetano and Alexis. Predeceased by his father, William LeBlanc, his mother Cora Gibson and his brother George LeBlanc. Garnet will also be missed by numerous nephews and nieces. Friends may call at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Monday February 26th from 2-4 pm and from 7-9 pm. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday February 27th at 11:00 am followed by a Celebration of his life being held at the Royal Canadian Legion in Smithville. If desired, memorial contributions to West Lincoln Memorial Auxiliary would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home. "Whatever we were to each other, we still are."
