Obituary of Amber Bell Sweet

SWEET, AMBER:  Peacefully at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Grimsby on Wednesday, January 22, 2014, Amber Bell Sweet (nee Griffin) of Smithville passed away in her 92nd year.  Beloved wife of the late Jack Sweet (1994).  Loving mother of Keith Sweet (Donna) and Berna Kennedy.  Cherished grandmother of Scott Sweet (and the late Tammy, 2013) and Connie Crossman (Bryan) and great grandmother of Tyler, Dylan, Cameron, Bailey and John.  She will also be missed by Kris, Dan, Matthew, Sam, Laurie and Brooklyn and her many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by sisters Freda Merritt and Norma McLean.  Amber was lifelong member of St. Luke's Anglican Church and a 70 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.  Visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Friday, January 24 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.  The funeral service will be held at St. Luke's Anglican Church, 216 Station Street, Smithville on Saturday, January 25 at 11 am.  Inurnment at Union Cemetery at a future time.  If desired, memorial donations to St. Luke's Anglican Church or West Lincoln Memorial Auxiliary would be appreciated and can be made through Merritt Funeral Home.
