Paradis, Mark Roland – It is with our deepest regret that we, the family, announce the sudden passing of a son, brother, father and grandfather. Roland “Rollie” Paradis, passed away suddenly of a heart attack on Friday, January 31st 2014, in his 50th year. He was born in Kingston, grew up in West St. Catharines and most recently resided in Hamilton. Roland is survived by his mother Earldeen “Minnie” Sobotka, his son Mark, grandson Colton, his partner Jennifer, his siblings, Joseph, Kathleen, Earl, Genevieve, Timothy, Jacques, and Sebastien and his many nieces and nephews. Rollie’s laughter and infectious smile will be missed by everyone. Cremation will take place and the family will receive friends at a celebration of Roland’s life on Saturday, February 8, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Antipastos at 87 Hannover Drive in St. Catharines. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Memorial donations in Roland’s name can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation and can be made through the funeral home.
