MEINDERSMA, Johanna (Weirsma) August 20, 1927 – September 19, 2014 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Johanna at the age of 87. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 61 years, Fetze (Frank). Dear mother of Peter and his wife Sylvia, Sita and her husband John Wood, Bert (Skip), and William and his wife Debbie. Cherished grandmother of ten and great grandmother of two. She will also be missed by family in Holland and New Zealand. We would like to thank the staff at McNally House in Grimsby for their wonderful care and compassion during her stay there. Visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Monday, September 22 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Smithville United Church, 116 West Street (Regional Rd 20) on Tuesday, September 23 at 11 am. Private interment at the church's adjoining cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to McNally House Hospice would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
