Harvey was my boss at Kwik Kopy printing in the great 1980's. He is one of the most decent men I have ever met. Harvey was full of life, helpful, honest and he listened to his workers when they needed him most. Harvey treated me with great respect even knowing that our lifestyles were quite different. When Harvey called me on the phone to offer me the job there was a party going on at my house, I was very young at the time. Harvey was expressing concerned about his previous press operator being a heavy drinker and I had to assure him even though there was a party going on in the background that "I sir do not drink" and I did not lie and I still do not drink. Harvey still hired me, why? Because he was decent but also because he badly needed a pressman and luckily he got a decent one in me for taking a chance. I learned so much watching this man who was quiet and timid at times, run the print shop easily.
Harvey and his wonderful wife Ruby were so very kind to come to this young mans wedding too. I was very impressed and it showed that I really mattered to Harvey and Ruby, how many times do we feel this from someone let alone from your boss? This is why I remember Harvey so fondly and I often speak of him in conversation when people complain about old jobs, I love telling everyone that I had a wonderful job because of my boss!. I am sorry I only found out about Harvey's passing now. I wish Harvey's whole family great peace and happiness, you had a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, grandfather and friend.
Sincerely
