KEUNEN, ADAM RICHARD: Suddenly, as a result of a tragic accident on Friday, September 26, 2014, Adam Richard Keunen passed away at the age of 17. Beloved son of Rick and Elaine Keunen (Petherick). Loved by his sister Elysa (Tyler DenHollander) and by his twin brother and best friend Brad (Julia Mehnert). Special friend of Nicole Verge. Cherished by grandparents Carl Petherick, and Jerry and Agnes Keunen. Loved by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by his grandmother Gwen Petherick. Adam loved life. He was passionate about hockey and the Leafs. He loved farming with his dad, his brother and his grandpa. He will be missed by all who loved him. Visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Tuesday, September 30 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Smithville United Church, 116 West Street (Regional Road 20), Smithville on Wednesday, October 1 at 11 am. Interment Bethel Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to Canadian Tire Jumpstart would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
