BIRD, LINDA: At St Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton on Saturday, November 1, 2014, Linda Joanne Bird (nee Dereniowski) of Smithville passed away in her 61st year. Beloved wife of the late Frank Bird (1993). Loving mother of Amy Wisniewski (Steve) and Julie Bird (Chris Shea). Cherished grandmother of Emily, Aiden and Tyler. Predeceased by her parents Henry and Jessie Dereniowski. Dear sister of John and Jennifer Dereniowski, Marilyn and the late Art Robins, Carol Walters and Brad Sebrosky, and sister-in-law of Sharon and Arnold Beaty. She will also be sadly missed by nieces and nephews John and Dana, Aaron and Stephanie, Naomi, Denver and Amanda, Aleah and Greg, Leanne and Jamie, Wendy and Bob and many great nieces and nephews, aunts, cousins and friends. Visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Thursday, November 6 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Caistorville United Church, 9550 York Road, Canfield (Caistorville) on Friday, November 7 at 11 am followed by inurnment in the church’s adjoining cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to West Lincoln Community Care would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
