WILTON, MARGARET: At West Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Grimsby on Sunday, July 28, 2013, Margaret Dickson Wilton (nee Shurie) of Smithville passed away in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Gerald Richard Wilton (1982). Loving mother of Wayne and Anna Wilton, and of Wanda and Alan McMurtrie, and predeceased by son Gerald Lee Wilton (2003). Dear grandma and great grandma of Gerald Wilton (Anna-Marie) and their children Samuel and Brandon, Victoria Forsyth (Jeffrey) and their children Isabella and Benjamin, Wayne Wilton Jr. and his children Owen and Jed, John Wilton, David Wilton, Amanda Fisher (Clint), Adam McMurtrie, and Andrew McMurtrie. Dearly missed by nephews Irv and Doug and niece Barb and their families and by her loving neighbours the Kazienko, Krasko, and Pot families and by the Durance family. Predeceased by sister Annie Muir and brother-in-law David Muir. Margaret was a lifelong member and Elder of Smithville Presbyterian Church, longtime president of the Presbyterian Ladies Group, a longtime member of the Smithville Garden Club, and longtime associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 393 Smithville. Visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Thursday, August 1 from 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Smithville Presbyterian Church, 143 St. Catharines Street (Regional Rd 20), Smithville on Saturday, August 3 at 11 am. Interment at Union Cemetery, Smithville. If desired, memorial donations to Smithville Presbyterian Church would be appreciated and can be made through the funeral home.
