VAUGHAN, MARGARET: Peacefully at Albright Manor in Beamsville on Friday, March 15, 2013, Margaret Fay Vaughan (nee Beamer) of Caistorville passed away in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Merritt Vaughan and friend for many years to the late Ed Piper. Loving mother of Stan Vaughan (Emily), Beverly Beres (the late Ed), and Ralph Vaughan (Shelly). Cherished grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Jean Robins, Ruby Silverthorne and Pauline MacDougall. She will also be sadly missed by the Piper family. Predeceased by grandson Marty Vaughan, son-in-law Ed Beres, and sisters Beulah Vaughan and Glenna Zulik. Margaret was a long time member of Bismark United Church and will be remembered as Post Master at St. Anns for 13 years. Thank you to the wonderful staff at Albright Manor for their compassionate care. Visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Tuesday, March 19 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 20 at 11 am. Interment Bismark United Church Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Bismark United Church, Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated and can be made through the funeral home.
