MEINDERSMA, FRANK: April 16, 1923 - February 5, 2013: At Hamilton General Hospital on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, Fetze (Frank) Meindersma of Smithville passed away. Beloved husband and best friend for 61 years of Johanna (nee Weirsma). Dear father of Peter and his wife Sylvia, Sita and her husband John Wood, Bert (Skip), and William and his wife Debbie. Cherished grandfather of ten grandchildren and one great grandson. He will also be missed by family in Holland and New Zealand. Visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Friday, February 8 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 9 at 11 am at Smithville United Church, 116 West Street (Regional Road 20), Smithville. Private interment at the church's adjoining cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
