HOBE-VAN YKEN, MAARTJE: At Douglas Memorial Hospital in Fort Erie on Saturday, November 30, 2013, Maartje (Marge) Hobe-Van Yken passed away in her 63rd year. Beloved wife of the late Bert Hobe (1974). Loving daughter of Henri VanderMeulen and the late Johanna VanderMeulen (2013). Dearly loved mother of Lisa Hobe, James Hobe (Lucy), Jeremy Van Yken (Beth), Christina Van Yken (Jeff) and TJ Van Yken (Samantha). Cherished by her 13 grandchildren. Also survived by brother Henri Vander Meulen and sister Genevia Young (Walter). Predeceased by brother Ben (1994). Visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Wednesday, December 4 from 7-9 pm. Private family funeral service and interment at Riverside Cemetery, Wainfleet. If desired, memorial donations to the Lung Association would be appreciated and can be made through the funeral home.
