WILSON, HERMAN: At his home in Smithville on Friday, February 24, 2012, Herman Stanley Wilson in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Theresa Marie Cormier for 47 years. Loving father of Donna (Dario) Brecevich, Michael Wilson (Leslie Lingard), and Robert Wilson (Paulina Raposo). Cherished grandfather of Anthony and Domenic Brecevich, and Dalilah and Sofie Wilson. Dear brother of Cora Rayner (John), Pat Falconer (Don), Lorne Barthe (Gail) and Art Barthe (Liz). Predeceased by his mother Laura. Herman was a foster dad to over 150 teenage boys and was a major influence in all of their lives. The family will receive friends for visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Sunday 7-9 pm and Monday, February 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm with Prayers at 3:30 pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Martin of Tours' Catholic Church, 166 West Street (Regional Road 20), Smithville on Tuesday, February 28 at 11 am. Many thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of Juravinski Cancer Centre; St. Elizabeth Healthcare especially nurses Leona, Barb and Chris; doctors, nurses and staff of the Smithville Medical Centre Family Health Team; and the Parish of St. Martin's.
