TYLEE, ROYAL VICTOR: It is with deep sadness that we mourn the peaceful passing of Royal Tylee, in his 92nd year, at the McNally House Hospice in Grimsby on December 26, 2012. Dearly loved husband of Ruby (Lymburner). Dear father of Lloyd and his wife Barbara of Grimsby, and Dennis of Toronto. Remembering him with love are grandchildren Mike, Greg, Brett and Grace and six great-grandchildren Shannon, Gage, Madelyn, Morgan, Kianna and Aliyah. He is survived and lovingly remembered by his sister Lois Burch of Petrolia, Ontario and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents William and Jessie Tylee formerly of Smithville, Ontario and brothers Jack and Barry. Royal was born in Smithville and lived his entire life there until very recently. He was part owner and operator of Comfort and Tylee Meat Packers for over forty years and an avid sportsman. Royal excelled and won Ontario Championships in fastball and hockey. He also coached fastball and hockey for several years. Royal also loved golf and fishing. On April 18th this year (2012), Royal and Ruby celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary with family and friends (a very special occasion!). Royal was an active member of St. Luke's Anglican Church in Smithville his entire life. He lived his life with honesty and integrity and had a great passion for life, people and his family. He will be dearly missed. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Tuesday, January 1 from 1 to 4 pm (no evening visitation). The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, January 2 at 11 am at the funeral home with inurnment at St. Luke's Anglican Church Cemetery following the service. For those that wish, expression of sympathy donations to St. Luke's Anglican Church would be appreciated and can be made through the funeral home.
