MADZO, MARTHA: Peacefully at her home in Bismark on Monday, November 19, 2012, Martha Madzo (nee Bobok) passed away in her 81st year. She was the beloved wife of Louie Madzo for 57 years. Loving mother of Louies (Zenaida) and of the late Paul (1958). Dear sister of Jean-Pierre (Joelle) of France and will also be missed by her niece Violette. Predeceased by sister Anne. Family dog Bailey will miss his daily treats. Martha was the custodian at Gainsborough Public School for many years until her retirement in 1997. She loved gardening, preferring vegetables over flowers. Visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Wednesday, November 21 from 7-9 pm with Prayers at 8:30 pm. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Martin of Tours Roman Catholic Church, 166 West Street (Regional Road 20) in Smithville on Thursday, November 22 at 11 am. Interment at the church's adjoining cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to Juravinski Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
