HUIZINGA, Albert: Peacefully in his sleep at his residence on Tuesday, July 3, 2012. Albert Huizinga of Smithville in his 73rd year, went to be with his Lord and Saviour and to join his wife the late Gerda Huizinga (nee DeBruyn). Loving father of Carol and Harvey Pot, Hank Huizinga and Darlene, and Charles and Anneliese Huizinga. Cherished by his grandchildren Justin and Kathy, Matthew, Brendan, Katelyn, Alanna, Danika and Rudy. Dear brother of Anje Rintjema, Gerrit and Gertie Huizinga, Wilma and John Heeg and Aukje and Henry Boers. Albert will also be sadly missed by the DeBruyn family and his many nieces and nephews. Albert was a well known local Realtor for many years. Friends may call at the Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Thursday, July 5 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Interment at 9:30 am on Friday, July 6, 2012 at Grimsby Mountain Cemetery, followed by the memorial service at the Smithville Christian Reformed Church (6522 Smithville Road) beginning at 11 am. If desired, memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home. Psalm 23
