STECKHAM, BRIAN: At St. Catharines General Hospital on Wednesday, September 28, 2011, Brian David Steckham of Smithville in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Sylvia (nee Wright) for 55 years. Loving father of David and Judy Steckham, Cheryl and Kevin Buttrum, and Robert and Darlene Steckham. Cherished grandfather of eight grandchildren and one great grandson. Brian will also be missed by his sister Elsie Berry. The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation on Wednesday, October 5 from 7-9 pm at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville. Private inurnment at Burlington Memorial Gardens. If desired, memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
