JUHLKE, DELORA: Delora Caroline Juhlke (nee Johnson) in her 88th year, at Albright Centre in Beamsville on Sunday, August 14, 2011. Treasured wife of the late Ellwood Juhlke. Loving mother of Delora Patricia (Paul) Hutchinson, Katherine (Brian) Killins, and Susan (David) Ongaro. Cherished by her grandchildren Mary Delora (Stephen), Doug, Sarah (Ryan), Kristen (Paul) and Rachel (Kyle), and great grandchildren Gillian, Abby, Clara, Lucas, Stella, and Sophia Delora. Dear sister of Earl Johnson, Marjorie Garside and Doris Johnson. Predeceased by brothers David and Merritt. Friends may call at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Wednesday, August 17 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 18 at 11 am at the funeral home. Private interment at Lane Cemetery, St. Anns will follow the lunch reception. Delora started her teaching career in The Stone School in 1942, and later taught at College Street, Calder, Grand Ave and Caistor Centre elementary schools. Delora and Ellwood delighted in their retirement and celebrated 53 years of marriage before his death in 1997. Memorial contributions to the Canadian Diabetes Association can be made through the funeral home.
