Obituary of James MacKenzie Farr

FARR, JIM:  Passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Monday, August 8, 2011 at Hamilton General Hospital, James McKenzie Farr of Smithville in his 70th year.  He will be deeply missed by his beloved daughter and son-in-law Tricia and Jeff DeBoer and her mother Joanne Battersby (Scott).  Cherished grandfather of Stephanie and Ryan.  Also survived by his brothers Doug Farr (Deb) and Jerry Farr, and nieces and nephews Kelly Dickey (Dwayne), Jeff, Tim (Erin) and their children.  Predeceased by his parents James Alfred and Winnifred May, and infant sister Sharon.  Friends may call at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Wednesday, August 10 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.  The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 11 at 11 am at the funeral home.  Inurnment at Smithville United Church Cemetery at a future date.  If desired, memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
