CAVERS, NELLIE: It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nellie Cavers (nee Nestorovich) at Interim Long Term Care, Woolcott Wing, Welland, Ontario on Monday, May 23, 2011 in her 77th year. She is predeceased by her husband Gord, daughters Penny and Kim (McIntosh), father Joseph, mother Anna Kaczmaryk, sisters Mary and Pauline, and brother John. Born in Coppell, Ontario. She is survived by sons Wayne (Debbie), Perry (Christine), grandchildren Adam, Christine, Adam, Shawn, and Michelle, great grandchildren Austin and Lucas, sister Katie (Howard) Climenhaga and many nieces and nephews. Nellie worked for Canada Post for a total of 53 years and served as Post Master for 28 of her years with Canada Post in St. Anns. Friends may call at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 26 at 2 pm. Interment Zion Cemetery, Wainfleet. If desired, memorial contributions to St. Anns Community Church would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
