BOOK, H. MARIE: Passed away peacefully at Stamford Estates in Niagara Falls on Wednesday, October 12, 2011, Helen Marie Book (nee Vance) in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Clarence F. Book. Cherished aunt of Helen and Ernie Rye. Great-aunt (and great-great-aunt) of Michelle and Brian Urie (Erin and Marisa), Richard and Ana Rye (David and Jordan), Robert and Michelle Rye (Austin and Mackenzie). Also missed by her cousins Hill King, Betty and George Phillips, George and Beverley Cowell, Margaret Anne Cowell, Janet and Donald Penrose along with their many children. Marie was a B.A. graduate of McMaster University, received her primary specialist certificate from Toronto Teacher's College and had achieved her ATCM/ARCT in piano and voice from the Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto. She was a member of the Canadian Federation of University Women (Niagara) and a life member of the Trafalgar Castle School Alumnae Association. Friends may call at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 for visitation beginning at 9 am. The funeral service will follow at 11 am with interment at Union Cemetery, Smithville. If desired, memorial contributions to the Drummond Hill Presbyterian Church would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home
