ARMSTRONG, GEORGE: At Hamilton General Hospital on Wednesday, April 27, 2011, George Victor Armstrong of St. Anns, in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Kathleen (nee Egan) for 58 years. Loving father of Marian and Brand Whitlock, Bill and Lesley Armstrong, Pat and Janice Armstrong, and Joan and Jim Tobin. Cherished grandfather of eight grandchildren Taylor, Megan, Kate, William, Sean, James, Erin and Matthew. Dear brother-in-law of Susan Armstrong, and uncle to Paul and Vicki Armstrong and Karen Armstrong. Predeceased by his brother Ernie. A private funeral service was held at St. Martin of Tours’ Roman Catholic Church, Smithville, with interment in the church’s adjoining cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home
