VAN ZEBEN, MARIA: Peacefully in her sleep at her home in Caistor Centre on Thursday, November 11, 2010, Maria Leonarda van Zeben (nee de Bruijn) in her 76th year. Beloved wife of the late Bert (2006). Loving mother to John and Kim of Winnipeg, Rob and Wendy of Caistor Centre, the late Tim (2007), and Paul and Tammy of Hamilton. Cherished Oma of Robert (Tara), Allen (Nicole), Shaun, Andrew, Lisa, Curtis and Haley, and of great-granddaughter Cheyenne. Maria emmigrated to Canada in 1956, and will be sadly missed by her brothers in The Netherlands. Special thanks to Jeanie Schofield, Elizabeth Travis and other PSWs from ParaMed over the years, and to Dr. Matt Noble-Wohlgemut. Friends may call at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Monday, November 15 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Private family funeral service. If desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
