SCHWOOB, ROSS: Suddenly, at Hamilton General Hospital on Saturday, June 12, 2010, Ross Horton Schwoob of Hamilton, and previously of Smithville, in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Audrey J. Schwoob (nee Terry) for 58 years. Loving father of Terry and Roxanne Schwoob and Marcia and Stephen Piggott. Cherished grandfather of Krystal and Stephanie Piggott and Robert and Michael Schwoob. Dear brother of Irma and Ed Stirtzinger and June and Fred Shorthouse. He will also be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews. Ross was a long-time employee of Tallman Transport. He and Audrey enjoyed their retirement years in Bancroft before returning to southern Ontario. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 17 at 11 am at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, 216 Station Street, Smithville, with visitation beginning at 9 am. If desired, memorial contributions to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
