Obituary of Rigmor Elisabeth Poulsen

POULSEN (nee Bogh), RIGMOR ELISABETH:  Passed peacefully at Welland General Hospital on Sunday, March 21, 2010 in her 85th year.  Beloved wife of Rev. Olaf Poulsen, Smithville.  Dear mother of Rev. Olaf and Valerie Poulsen of Heidelberg, Ontario, Else Poulsen of Grimsby, Ontario and Ellen and Robert Wade of Durham, North Carolina.  Loving Bedstemor (grandmother) of Kristen and Rebecca.  Dear sister of Bodil Bogh (Kolding, Denmark), Henning and Misse Madsen (Australia) and Grethe and Peter Skov Christensen (Kolding, Denmark).  She was predeceased by her parents Johannes and Else Bogh (Sr. Bjert, Denmark), her sister Asta Bogh and her sister and brother-in-law Else and Johannes Juhl.  As a daughter, sister, professional, wife, mother and grandmother, Rigmor spent her life dedicated to carrying out God’s plan for her life.  The family will receive friends at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Thursday, March 25 from 7-9 pm.  The funeral service will be conducted at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Heidelberg, Ontario at 10:30 am on Friday, March 26, 2010 with the Rev. Olaf J. Poulsen presiding.  Reception to follow.  As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Memorial Fund (Heidelberg) and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Memorial Fund (Erbsville) would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
