Wilk, Barbara (nee. Coleman)

On Thursday August 22nd with grace, strength and beauty and in the loving presence of her family, Barbara Perle Wilk nee Coleman transitioned from her earthly plain. She was lovingly cared for in her final days at Hospice Niagara. Barbara leaves her devoted husband Rick, daughters Shelley (Daniel), Nikki (Dean) and Natalie (Greg) sister Marilyn and grandchildren Jacob, Karly, Coleman and Holly. Barbara was predeceased by her parents Bill and Theda Coleman. Barbara was strong spirited, adventurous, fun-loving, quick witted, musical, and an incredibly intelligent woman. Her presence was boisterous and engaging. Barbara and her husband Rick enjoyed their travels for many years. They especially loved their winters in Mexico. She was a woman who read voraciously. Barbara deeply loved her family and friends and was loved just as deeply in return. Her legacy lives through her children and grandchildren. Arrangements entrusted to Merritt Funeral Home, Smithville. The family wishes to recognize and thank Hospice Niagara for their special kind of magic, love and expert care that was provided not only to Barbara but also to her family. If desired, memorial donations would be appreciated by the family to West Lincoln Public Library or Hospice Niagara and can be made through the funeral home.
