Condolences
Christopher Jhon Edward botcher
It is with great sadness to here of my uncle bills passing,I want to send my condolences, to my aunt Maureen and all my cousins , Bill will be missed but not forgotten ,for I see we all have some of his quality and wisdom witch he passed down to all of us . I have fond memories of him ,one is when he learned I had a motorcycle he invited me to go out for a ride one summer day to Halton hills , he had a gold wing motorcycle. we had a blast that day he showed me all around . He would call the house to say hello and always asked how is everyone ,we would talk a little and I would let him know how everyone was. love always Christopher.
My brother and I were close in age. During our late teenage years we both were interested in cars. Bill was first to get his driver’s license. But no car. Bill suggested we split the cost to buy one and he would teach me how to drive. We purchased an old 1939-1942 standard transmission vehicle and he gave me a set of keys. We lived in Cabbage town where many houses had laneways to enter backyards. He parked our car in the backyard where he started to give me lessons. When I got my license I had saved to buy my own car. Bill didn’t want me to shop without his approval but I went ahead anyway and bought a 1951 Ford Meteor on The Danforth. It was the first and only time that I remember him getting mad at me and didn’t speak to me for days. Finally when he checked out the car he was pleased and said it was a good one. He helped me with putting a hood ornament on the very front and blue lights in the windshield and with dual exhaust, I was good to go.
Our brother was a leader in our family. His first job at around 10 years old was picking tomatoes on a nearby farm where we lived in Antigonish Harbour. His next job was in Toronto, Ontario delivering groceries with his bicycle after school. He was 13 or 14. He was a go-getter. He was kind, loving and fair.
As I write this memory, I feel like he is here with me, checking my accuracy.
In recent years we didn’t see so much of each other but when he would call he always called me by my first name, “Hello Jessie Jean, how are you?”.
Bill married his sweetheart, Maureen, they had four beautiful children, Jeannie, Danny, Donna and Bill Jr. whom he loved and protected and was so very proud of all their accomplishments. He leaves behind several grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he loved the same way and again very proud of them all.
Bill loved all of his sisters, Patsy, Eileen, Joyce as well as myself. So many memories but the above sticks out. I love you always Bill and may you rest in peace.

Dear Aunt Maureen, Jeanie, Donna, Danny and Billy:
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Uncle Bill, and our heartfelt condolences go out to the entire family.
For us, Uncle Bill will always be remembered as a wonderfully handsome man with a great sense of humour and a kind smile. He had the same twinkle in his eyes as his mother, Sadie. Earlier times are filled with fond memories of afternoons spent by the pool in Mississauga, where Uncle Bill brought the family together. One could always sense the special adoration that his sisters, Jean, Patsy, Eileen and Joyce had for their brother, Bill.
We pray that through the love of family and friends, you’ll find the comfort and strength you need in the days ahead.
Rest in eternal peace, Uncle Bill.
Love,
Patsy, Eileen, Ian, Connor and Megan
