Obituary of Allan Quainton

Suddenly at home on December 19, 2023 Allan Quainton in his 75th year passed away. Beloved husband for 50 years to Lesley Quainton (nee. McCormick). He will be missed by his children Stuart (Jolyane) and Jennifer (Scott). Allan will live on in the hearts of his grandchildren James, Jessica, Aiden, Alora, Lucas, and Logan. He is survived by his sister Carol (Raymond). He will be missed by his extended family and friends in Canada and England. 

Allan was born and raised in England where he made wonderful lifelong friendships and fell in love with Lesley. Together in 1974, they immigrated to Canada, where Allan enjoyed fishing, gardening, spending time with family and friends and watching soccer (Go Tottenham!)

Allan was a plumber by trade but a handyman by heart. He constantly had a project on the go and enjoyed helping his children when they called for help. 

Allan was a proud long term active member of St. Johns #40 and P.D.D.G.M of Hamilton District A 2012-2013

A memorial gathering will take place at Merritt Funeral Home, Smithville, on Saturday, January 6, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. A Masonic service will take place at 1:00 p.m. If desired, memorial donations to West Lincoln Community Care food bank would be appreciated and can be made through the funeral home.
