YOUNG, EVELYN: At Albright Manor in Beamsville on Monday, October 13, 2008, Evelyn Viola Young (nee Swick) in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Harry Young (1997). Loving mother of Mary Martin (Charlie), Gertrude Goit (and the late Don-2001), Clara Terryberry (and the late Earl-2002), Ruby Pierce (Doug), Ken Young (Bev), the late Stella Balanuik (1972), Harry Young (Linda), and Bruce Young (Sharon) and mother-in-law of Bob Balanuik. Cherished by her 17 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by brothers Alvin and Walter and sister Beatrice. Friends may call at the Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held Thursday, October 16 at 11 am at the funeral home. Interment Abingdon Presbyterian Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
