With sadness we announce the passing of John McLean Shankland on November, 11, 2023 in his 88th year. He will be missed by his wife of 64 years Margaret Shankland (nee. McGavin). He will be missed by his sons Iain (Gail), David (Sandra), and Douglas (Sarah). John will be remembered by his grandchildren Alexandria, Keegan, Heather, and Vanessa. He was predeceased by his brother Bill. He will be missed by his sister Beth. He will be loved and missed by many other extended family and friends. Arrangements to be entrusted to Merritt Funeral Home, Smithville.
