Obituary of Shirley Luanne Ross

 After fighting a long and fearless battle, we are saddened to announce the passing of Shirley Luanne Ross. Shirley passed away on Wednesday February 8th, 2023 at the St. Catharines General Hospital, at the age of 51. Shirley will be eternally missed by her daughter Kate (her "little miracle"), soulmate Rob LaRue, his boys Ethan and Owen and her loving parents Paul and Susan Ross. Shirley leaves behind her 2 sisters Michelle and Tara of British Columbia. The memory of Shirley will be forever cherished by her "BFF" Paula and her husband Sean Grant. The loss is also felt profoundly by many family members, the LaRue family, friends, her work family at Bethesda, her friends from Great Lakes Christian School and many others in the community whom her life touched.  Shirley was the kindest gal you met once and she remembered you forever.  A Memorial Gathering honouring Shirley will take place at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street in Smithville, on Saturday February 18, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Donations can be made in her memory either to her Go Fund Me page at: https://www.gofundme.com/shirley-ross or to Pancreatic Cancer Canada (this can be made through the funeral home if so desired) merritt-fh.com (905-957-7031).
