Obituary of Adam Johannes Simon Van Bergeyk

It is with deep sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved son and brother Adam Johannes Simon Van Bergeyk. Adam passed away suddenly at 30 years young. He is missed more than words can express by his parents Michele and Gilbert, sisters Tania and Leah (Jake), and Oma Grace. He was a loving uncle to Carter, Kaylee, Ryker, Odin and great nephew Weston.  Adam was known for his enormous heart and many meaningful friendships. He loved the outdoors, travelling and being with his family. His free time was spent playing his bass guitar, practising karate as a sensei, and was an avid gamer and collector.  Though he left this world far too soon, the world was a better place for having him in it. He left a huge hole in our lives and will be forever missed. We remember him always through his love of foxes. Visitation will be held at Merritt Funeral home at 287 Station Street, Smithville on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 3-6pm. A celebration of Adam’s life will be announced in the coming weeks. This will include a memorial service for anyone who wishes to express their memories of their time with Adam.
