Obituary of Marjorie Louise Lazenby
LAZENBY MARJORIE: On Monday, October 17, 2022 Marjorie Louise Lazenby passed away at Grandview Lodge in Dunnville at the age of 85. She was predeceased by her husband Claude Douglas Lazenby (1936-2021). Marjorie will be missed by her daughters Nancy Anderson (Dale) and Sharon Cole (John). The best tea parties and dress up times were enjoyed with Nana by her grandchildren Kelsey (Brandon), Sydney (Kevin), Megan, and Josh (Darci). Predeceased by her father Charlie Misener, mother Florence Misener (Mordue) and sister Betty Clubine (the late Donald). She will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Born in Brantford, Ontario, Marjorie Grew up on a dairy farm. She married Claude in 1959. Marjorie worked in banking and office work in Brantford and as a preschool teacher when they moved to Kilbride. Retirement brought them to Smithville near family. Her life was built on faith and service to others. She also shared her joy of music her entire life. Marjorie was gracefully supported by staff at the Smithville Medical Centre, PSWs at home, and many staff at Grandview Lodge. We are forever grateful for the support they gave us as she lived with the debilitating disease Cortical Basil Degeneration. Visitation will take place on Friday, October 21 at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville from 6 - 8 p.m. A celebration of her life will be held at Smithville United Church, 116 West Street (Regional Road 20) in Smithville on Saturday, October 22 at 11 a.m. Interment at the church's adjoining cemetery will follow. Masks are preferred by the family.
